Why This Reference Exists
Oregon records are divided by agency and by the kind of custody involved. Lake County Sheriff documents a departure from the county jail, including whether the event was a community release or a transfer. Oregon Offender Search covers people currently in Oregon Department of Corrections custody or at a local Community Corrections office, while a completed former-offender matter may require a DOC records request. Court records explain the order or judgment. Parole, post-prison supervision, and probation can continue after physical custody ends. Federal prison and immigration matters follow separate national systems.
Lake County also has two very different facilities. The Lake County Jail is a county facility inside the courthouse, while Warner Creek Correctional Facility is an Oregon DOC state prison. One search cannot reliably describe both. This site brings together the release-record routes, official search tools, supervision concepts, and request procedures needed to keep those systems distinct.
